The interpreting services provided are as follows
- Consecutive interpreting, which is the usual type of interpreting at hearings, examinations for discovery and other legal matters, immigration counselling, lawyer-client interviews, witness priming, deposition taking, insurance agent interviews, medical, psychiatric, psychological, physiotherapeutic and occupational therapy assessment procedures, social assistance and child welfare interviews, business and other types of meeting.
- Telephone interpreting, done consecutively, involving social assistance, child welfare, WSIB case managers, etc.
- Simultaneous interpreting, which is the usual type, necessitating special sound equipment, for conferences, labour union meetings, employer - labour union collective bargaining agreement negotiations.
- Whispered interpreting, a subclass of simultaneous interpreting, where the interpreter whispers his or her interpretation into the ear of one person or at most two persons sitting next to each other for a short time only, unless there are two interpreters taking turns (as is the case in regular conference interpreting).
The translation services provided are as follows:
- Translation of documentary evidence to be used in connection with court cases (Immigration and Refuge Board, Ministry of Immigration, various tribunals).
- Translation of all manner of commercial and legal correspondence and documents, legal and accountants’ opinions, etc.
- Translation of technical correspondence and documents except for computer science and electronics.
- Translation of articles from academic journals in the social sciences and humanities fields.
- Translation of newspapers and magazine articles, news releases, statements, reports of various kinds, etc.
- Sight translation (the translation is done orally instead of in writing).
- Refugee stories (narratives of events leading to departure from country against which an asylum claim is made) and life stories.
- Resumes.
